A Multisensory Room (MSR) is a room specifically designed with sensory equipment that help people engage and develop their senses. A MSR allows people to experience a wide range or sensory stimuli and may include light, colour, sound, aroma and tactile objects. This type of space can be calming or stimulating sensory experience depending on the individual.

What are the benefits?

A Multisensory Room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing as well as fine motor skills. It provides a therapeutic environment to help children self-regulate their emotions which ultimately leads to improved focus.

Who can benefit?

A Multisensory Room can be beneficial to children, adults with sensory processing disorders, autism, developmental delays or disabilities, ADHD, cerebral palsy, dementia, and those experiencing mental health issues.
